WELL HELLO THERE,

I'M JALEESA

A Brisbane homeowner, property investor, author, and former award-winning mortgage broker turned

First Home Buying Expert with big dreams.

Very into: sunflowers, bookstores, sunsets, and creating a life full of peace, joy, and connection.

Most people wait for the perfect timing, perfect savings, or perfect market before they buy.
I didn’t have any of that.

What I did have was curiosity, a clear intention, and the guts to start before things looked ready

The story of how I got my first keys

At 21, I bought my first property. It was a little brick home with green carpet, stickers on the kitchen wall, and not a single working light.

No champagne handover. No SOLD sign selfie.

Just takeaway noodles, a cheap bottle of red, and laughter in the dark.

That night, sitting cross-legged on the floor, I remember thinking:
this is how it starts.

Because buying your first home isn’t about having the perfect plan, the biggest savings account, or everything figured out. It’s about learning the game, creating your own playbook, and making your first move with confidence.

From Free Seminars to
the Strategy Seat

Now, almost two decades later in the finance and property industries, I still believe what that moment taught me: progress doesn’t wait for perfect, it rewards those who start.

Back then, I wasn’t anyone’s idea
of “ready.”

I was working casual jobs, devouring personal finance and property books, sitting front row at free seminars, and asking every question I could think of.

Eventually, I got my full Real Estate Licence - learning the rules, legislation, and mechanics of how the property world really works. And that gave me a perspective most first home buyers never get: I could see both sides of the deal.

From there, I built my first team before I ever got my first keys: a mortgage broker, accountant, insurance broker, and financial adviser. I didn’t have wealth yet, but I knew I needed to surround myself with people who understood it and could help me build it.

Later, I stepped into the finance world myself and became what I saw made all the difference: a mortgage broker who genuinely cared about educating and empowering her clients.

As an award-winning broker, I helped hundreds of people buy their first homes with clarity, confidence, and a plan that worked.

My journey started the same way as most of my clients: with more ambition than savings and a whole lot of questions. And now, I’m here to share what I’ve learned so you can skip the overwhelm and play the game with structure, not stress.

What I Believe

I believe buying your first home isn’t about luck, it’s about learning the game and approaching it with strategy.

I also believe your first home is a stepping stone, not your forever home.

And I believe you don’t need more money; you need a framework that works. Because you’re not behind, you’re just one decisive move away from heading in the right direction.

Whether you’re single, partnered, or saving your first $5K, your journey begins the moment you decide to stop waiting and start moving. Because the market will always move - prices rise, rates shift, headlines scream. But while most people panic, I teach my clients to think strategically and act with intention. Because when you know the game, strategy is your power move.

As for right now...

I'm on a mission to help women go from overwhelmed to owning it. Moving from “maybe one day” to “this is how it starts.”

Through my work as a mortgage broker, I loved helping clients buy their first homes. Now, as a First Home Buying Expert, I love helping women do the same - not through luck or loopholes, but through strategy, education, and a clear roadmap to homeownership.

Because you don’t need more money. You need more method. You need more momentum. And it all starts with one decision: to play the game differently.

A FEW THINGS YOU MIGHT NOT KNOW ABOUT ME:

I'm the eldest of four siblings and our names all start with the letter 'J' (talk about tongue twisters for our parents!)

I'm part Australian, Chinese and Papua New Guinean - and very proud of my heritage.

At 11 years old, I danced at the 2000 Olympics Closing Ceremony - it was a fun Samba routine to John Paul Young's "Love is in the air".

Married to an amazing guy, we said 'I do' when I was 22 (you know when you know!)

After one too many shopping centre meltdowns, I decided to write a picture book series to help teach kids about money. Because we absolutely can raise financially capable, confident & resilient kids (in a way that's fun, engaging & lasting!)

I'm an ace at catching land crabs by moonlight, with no special equipment needed. Just ask my relatives back on the islands of PNG - it's a skill, and ya girls got it!
